** BBL:** Be back later
** GG:** Good Game or Great Game
** GL:** Good Luck
** GS:** Good Stuff/Good Shot
** Frag:** Kill
** HF:** Have Fun
** HP:** Hit Points (damage score)
** HUD:** Heads-up display (usually a gaming interface)
** LEET or 1337:** Elite.
** LOL:** Laugh out loud
** L8R:** See you later
** Noob or Newbie:** New person (inexperienced)
** OMG:** Oh my god!
** Owned:** Thorouly beaten
** Map:** Game Level (playing environment)
** Mod:** (1) Modification (usually refers to a partially converted game)
** Mod:** (2) Moderator (usually Forum or Game)
** Patch:** A file that is applied to a game that fixes or changes game software or adds new content
** Pwned:** Owned.
** RL:** Real Life
** ROL:** Roll over laughing
** RPG:** Role Playing Game
** RTS:** Real time Strategy
** SP:** Single Player
