Do I need to sign up to Broadband using a contractual agreement
No, it’s not always necessary to take up a contract when signing up to Broadband. Contractual Agreements will vary depending on ISP’s special offers and Terms and Conditions. Some Providers will reduce or raise costs and installation fees according to a contractual period selected. Hardware and connection fees can also fluctuate depending on the length of a period taken. Contractual Agreements are the ISP’s assurance of obtaining ongoing subscriber membership so conditions will vary. It’s recommended that Contractual Agreements be scrutinized prior to signing up as costs can deviate considerably. Obviously, most ISPs will make a longer contract period more financial appealing, such as a 24 month period, although getting locked in to a longer term also has drawbacks. Read the fine print. ex. early termination/exiting fees and relocation charges.
