What is the World Wide Web
The World Wide Web is essentially a service for accessing information that is hosted on servers via a network (The Internet). Often referred to as WWW or The Web, Internet users can access the Internet’s information highway using software called Web Browsers. A user can also travel from one web site to another by clicking on hyperlinks or typing web addresses (URLs) into a Web Browser. Locating and referencing specific information on the web can be made easier by typing relevant criteria into a Search Engine
