Internet Radio is similar to normal radio except that the broadcast signal is transmitted via the internet. This is called web-casting or e-radio. Internet radio is becoming more and more popular with most mainstream radio stations in Australia now transmitting radio shows via web-cast. You can even listen to radio stations overseas via there web-cast.
If you would like to stream Radio online you will need a broadband connection that can handle audio streaming. Trying to listen to audio content on dial connection can be a very frustrating experience as the connection often drops out.
