Google Chrome will finally stop loading Flash content by default at the end of 2016

Google’s Chrome web browser will begin blocking all non-essential Flash content beginning in September with version 53. The new behavior will block many small and hidden background Flash plugins that can slow down web pages. By version 55 in December, Flash will be disabled entirely in Chrome unless there is no other way to display content on the page. Google hopes that web developers will transition to HTML5 to replace their Flash functionality, which should provide a better user experience and faster page load times.
